        MK023              Principles of Marketing

        Prereq.  None

Introduction to the marketing process, functions, institutions and channels involved in distribution of goods and services from producers to consumers including a study of buying motives, marketing practices, strategies and policies; integration of marketing with other activities of the business enterprises, study of service marketing concepts and approaches.

         MK032              Business Communication

         Prereq.  None

Theory of Business communications, principles of business communication, business letters as form of communication, business report as form of communication, reports types and characteristics of reports, management of meetings and oral communication skills which include representations and interpersonal communication.

         MK043              Marketing Research

         Prereq. MK023

Study of research methods and techniques applicable to problem - solving in marketing and the management fields, and of methods used to define, gather and interpret information for marketing decision making, and other management topics. Actual marketing research, field work techniques and methodologies of surveys, personal interviews, mail and telephone are examined. Students are encouraged to use computers to tabulate and analyze field survey results.

Introduction and overview, decision making process, forecasting, operations strategy, production planning, scheduling, productivity, quality control, and future trends in production and operations management. Inventory control, material requirement planning, operations scheduling, project scheduling, line balancing, and production control.

       MK063              E-banking

        Prereq.  MK013, MK053

Examination of the different on-line banking techniques and financial institutes. A thorough examination of the different on-line payment method systems.

       MK073              Feasibility Studies and Project Planning

       Prereq.  MK013, MK023

Survey of principles and techniques of feasibility studies and project evaluation, identification of investment opportunities, market and technical appraisal, financial estimates and projections, profitability, risk analysis, social cost and benefit analysis. Discusses complexities involved in project management, CPM/PERT, time-cost tradeoff, and project scheduling.

     

      MK083              Organizational Behavior

      Prereq.  Mk013, Mk023

The examination of conceptual model of organizational behavior; development and background of organizational behavior; study of cognitive concepts of personality, perception, motivation. Leadership, group behavior and dynamics organizational conflicts, organizational change and development. Among perspective studies are those of Maslow, Hersberg, Alderfer, Alder, Reauel, Jung, Skiner and Organizational theorists like, Argyris, Lawler and Bennis.
