relationship, constructive memory. Language and
thought, language and communication, development of
language, problem solving, algorithms versus
heuristics. Mental abilities and their measurement,
nature of intelligence, tests of intellectual ability.

Prereq. None
Explores systematically the process of writing technical
and professional documents; lectures and discussions on
analyzing audiences, defining purpose, generating and
selecting appropriate report materials, structuring
clear and convincing reports, designing and drafting
effective reports, and editing reports that are clear,
concise, emphatic, and mechanically and grammatically
“clean”. Weekly writing assignments and individual
conferences.
