MS203 Business
Research Methodology
Prereq. MS123
This
course develops the student’s formal research skills and
provides an opportunity to integrate the skills and
knowledge obtained in other core courses in designing
and conducting a research study. The course begins with
study of current business research methodology and
design. As a course project, students will select a
research hypothesis, access an appropriate data set, and
apply appropriate statistical techniques to test the
hypothesis. A comprehensive written report of the
research process and conclusion reached will be
required.
MS073
Algebra & Geometry
Prereq
Matrices:
Algebra of Matrices - addition , multiplication , the
inverse of a matrix - Scalar multiplication. Linear
system, Gauss elimination method. Determinants:
properties and their uses in linear system. Analytic
geometry: The conic sections: parabola
-Ellipse-Hyperbola.
Vectors: Algebra of vectors.
MS183
Sampling and Experimental Design
Prereq. MS123
Presents the principal applications of sample surveys;
criteria of a good sample design; characteristics of
simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, and
cluster sampling. Also explains how to plan an
experiment for the collection and analysis of
appropriate data to produce reliable conclusion. The
student develops applications of statistical methods by
using statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, BMDP, and
StatGraph.
